Just because an organization has not accomplished fully their goal... does not mean they have no reason d'etre.

Important point. But can they "eradicate poverty"? That is the problem. Development requires stable, benevolent government and the rule of law -- dependable law. This is where the U.N. had failed. Despotic regimes have been welcomed into the U.N. They should have been excluded in accordance with the U.N. charter and its Bill of Rights (by the way: which I think the U.S. never ratified).

Hattori, I hope you continue to post. We need you. Don't get pushed off by the fools who reside here in the dark of night.

A Nobel Peace Prize is an accomplishment. How do you suppose Khoffi Annan got that ?

The UN is not impartial - they support the Bush Alliance for world Hatred - as such they are just a pawn of the capitalist backers. they will eventualy be used as the basis for establishing a world order controlled by these backers.

The UN has proved it is complicit by it's support. Please tell me i am not wrong - please tell me the UN does not support this barbaric act. - i think you cannot.
